Diesel Truck Mechanic
A Diesel Heavy Truck Mechanic is needed in a busy shop in Atlanta, GA. Diesel Truck Mechanics must be able to diagnose and repair all heavy truck systems in a fleet setting. Diesel engine diagnostic experience on Cummins, Detroit, Paccar, CAT, Navistar, Volvo, is preferred. Experience using some of the major diagnostic software programs such as, Cummins InSite, CAT ET, ServiceMaxx, or DDEC/DDDL, is necessary.
Diesel Technicians must be able to work with electrical systems, read wiring diagrams/schematics, troubleshoot electrical problems and make the appropriate repairs. Experience repairing Lift Gates, Brake Systems, replacing defective parts, and completing Preventative Maintenance are all major assets. 3+ years' experience in a Heavy Truck fleet maintenance setting is preferred.
OEM or ASE Certifications are a definite asset and training will be offered for those mechanics who are interested in developing their skill set. Must have your own tools and able to obtain a CDL and a DOT Inspection License within your first 90 days. Pre-employment background checks will be complete.
Days, 3:30pm - 11:30pm; (Monday - Friday).
$80,000 - $120,000/year. Starting wage will depend on previous experience, training, and certifications. OEM and ASE Certifications will result in a higher starting wage. Compensation is comprised of a Base + Bonus model. Benefits will be offered as the company grows.
