Job Description: Heavy Equipment Mechanic – St. John's Metro Area, Newfoundland

Position Overview:
A leading dealership in heavy equipment located in St. John's Metro Area, NL, is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic with at least 5 years of experience to join its team. Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment, focusing on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Utilize OEM diagnostic software and other tools to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Provide emergency repair support and troubleshoot effectively in high-pressure situations.
• Mentor and support junior mechanics as needed.
• Maintain accurate records using computer systems.

Qualifications:

• Journeyman-level mechanic with a minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy equipment repair.
• Previous dealership experience is a strong asset.
• Proficiency with OEM diagnostic software and basic office tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Must have own tools; uniforms and additional work clothing are provided.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Wage range: $37-$45/hour, dependent on experience.
• Overtime pay after 40 hours per week.
• Benefits package through Canada Life (50/50 split).
• Group RSP with 4% matching.
