Duties & Responsibilities:

• Run diagnostic tests on diesel engines and inspect vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering, and exhaust.
• Perform repairs and replacements on transmissions, brakes, rotors, and other components.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and brake checks.
• Test drive vehicles after repairs to ensure performance and safety.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and tasks pending.
• Perform metalworking, light fabrication, and welding as needed.
• Work on air brake and hydraulic systems.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by the Lead Mechanic.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years’ experience as a mechanic; experience with Caterpillar and Cummins is a plus.
• Proficiency in air brake and hydraulic system repairs.
• Welding experience preferred, along with metalworking and light fabrication skills.
• CDL Class B license preferred.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team.
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required.
