A well-established renewable energy company has an exciting new opening in Lihue, Hawaii for a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Mechanic. Relocation support options are available.
This company is looking for a technician to work in the field and in-shop, and will be expected to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the company’s fleet of machinery, trucks and heavy equipment. The fleet consists of construction, agriculture, forestry, and over the road vehicles. Complex maintenance tasks will require care and thought, fabrication and welding skills are needed to complete repairs, and repair/replacement of hydraulic components will be a common occurrence.
Mechanics with experience working on forestry and logging equipment are preferred, as are those with a background working on Caterpillar, John Deere and Tigercat brands. MIG, TIG, Stick, and Aluminium welding skills are an asset. Mechanics are expected to have strong electronic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair skills. Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics will be expected to be performing in-depth repairs in their first week of work.
The successful technician will be required to undergo thorough background checks and a work trial period. This is an excellent opportunity, and all qualified technicians looking to make the most of their craft in paradise are strongly encouraged to apply.
Days, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (Tuesday - Saturday). Mechanics must be willing to work overtime, which is available and offered after 40 hours worked per week at 1.5x.
