Looking for Heavy Equipment Mechanics to join a well-established road construction company in Denver, CO!

 

This company offers year-round employment, solid vacation policy, competitive pay, and provides technicians the opportunity to expand their expertise on a wide range of construction equipment!

 

The Ideal Mechanic Will:

  • Have 3+ years of experience performing maintenance and repairs to heavy road maintenance equipment.
  • Have experience diagnosing and troubleshooting faults to heavy machinery.
  • Be well versed in all aspects of repair to electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
  • Have experience performing repairs to power train and drive train components (engines, turbos, transmissions, clutches, exhaust systems, etc.).
  • Be proficient in performing re & res, and repairs to brake systems, and suspension components to both wheeled and tracked equipment.
  • Own tools needed in order to complete repairs, and have a valid drivers license.
  • Have ASE certifications (preferred, but not required).

 

There is a degree of field work with ability to take the truck home, ample overtime, ongoing training, a flexible work schedule, a solid bonus structure, and more!.

 

The successful technician will be subject to pre-employment background checks.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience working on Heavy Equipment and/or Heavy Duty Trucks. The position will be primarily performing State Inspections, as well as diagnosing and repairing mechanical failures.  Proprietary computer diagnostic software knowledge will be considered an asset and given preference (Davie 4, InSite, ET, MaxPro, etc.). Must have your own tools, and a valid Class-A Commercial Driver's License and Pennsylvania State Inspection License will be given preference.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting heavy construction equipment and attachments and heavy trucks and trailers for proper performance, and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
  • Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools.
  • Testing repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers’ specifications.
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.
  • State Inspection of vehicles / trailers.
  • Working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatic and electrical systems.
  • Travel to job sites to perform services / repairs.
