Due to increased sales, Lockport-based heavy equipment parts dealer ConEquip Parts LLC is moving to a 16,000 square-foot office and warehouse in Newfane.

ConEquip, which opened in 2008, sells new, used and after-market excavator and bulldozer parts for a variety of makes and models.

“Parts for anything that moves dirt,” said President Albert Alexander, who had worked at a used parts dealer before deciding to launch his own website to sell parts online.

“Not too many people in the used parts business clean their hands off enough to get online,” Alexander said with a laugh. “We’re so used to having our hands in grease and the mechanical end of things. It took some schooling, but we built our website and started helping people all over the U.S. and Canada.”

Alexander said that 2014 revenues were around $5 million, but 2015 is tracking to top the $8 million mark, especially if the company can hire and train more salespeople. He and his partners, Ben Krentz and Ryan Loos, have 17 staffers who are outgrowing their current space.

Alexander would like to double his eight-person sales team by the time the company moves from its office, located above Uncle G’s Ice Cream at 7030 Washington Street in Lockport, to leased space at Forest Creek Business Park, at 2712 West Ave. in Newfane. Once there, sometime in May, the office will cover about 6,300 square feet. The warehouse will span 10,000 square feet. More information about the sales jobs can be found at

To fill orders, the company works with up to 300 North American and European warehouse vendors to customers who receive parts usually within three days. While it will cost more to carry its own inventory, Alexander said it’ll be worth it, as everything will be under one roof.

“There’s more investment on our end, but we’ll be able to serve customers better locally,” he said.
