Its been an exciting launch with many stresses, but also a lot of fun in make new updates, fixes, and improvements.

We have now added points to the forum. Allowing users to get points for posting and replying to questions/topics on the forum. Also we have made many bug fixes although there are more to come.

Cool features to come to MechanicsHub

- Original Hub TV with mechanics tips, tools, and more from our smoking HOT Hub spokes model.

- site and server upgrades

- improvement to the community applications

- new hub categories- in heavy equipment and trucking news.

- and much more....give us your thoughts and opinions!

This is gonna take some getting used to, but so far it seems to be more user friendly.

Some of my old posts have been labelled with someone else's name, but hey, maybe that's a good thing!!

Hello?

Is anybody out there?

You could drive a truck down the middle and not hit anything!!

C'mon, people, lets liven it up a little!!

Hi Mrbigwrench,

Yes there is someone out there *smile* Glad that you find the site to be more user friendly. Can you please provide me with some examples of previous posts that were yours and are now labelled as someone else's? We are in the process of revamping this forum and are transferring posts into appropriate sections, as such, there is room for human error .

Thanks so Much!

There's a couple posts under the wrong subject, as you may notice.

One thing, is it possible to have the webmaster allow quotes like on the old site? It's nice to be able to quote a post when writing a comment , thanks!

Hi Mrbigwrench,

Thanks for the feedback!

We are working on smoothing out all the kinks; and as this is a new forum structure, there are still some minor issues that we have to fix - such as the issue you mentioned.

We appreciate your patience and truly appreciate your feedback as Maizis & Miller relaunched Mechanics Hub with the goal of increasing ease of use for our members and provide greater content.. I will look into if we are able to include the option of allowing quotes, like we did previously.

Thanks Tim for the feedback. So glad that you like the new look and layout.

Can you be a little more specific with what was tricky getting signed in? We want to make sure that this site is as easy to use as possible.

By the way, have you guys checked out the daily cartoon, power poll and daily brain buster? You can find them by going to the dashboard once you are logged in.

at times I would get loged in under the old web site then at times I would get loged in under the new web site, then I could not log in under either so just opened a new account.

Oh sorry to hear that. I believe because of the merge of the accounts when we launched this new site, you had to reset your password. As you simply created a new account, I am assuming you have had no other issue.

All the best :)

I have been happy with the new HUB so far with a lot of variety to entertain us mechanical types. I actually forgot my password and it was a smooth transition to renew it. I think Mechanics Hub will do great once the word gets out so everybody do the social media stuff with facebook and twitter and the traffic will come : )
