Volvo hosted a family-fun day celebration for their facility’s 130th anniversary. The wheel loaders facility, located in Arvika, Sweden, celebrated this milestone by setting the world record for gathering the largest number of LEGO Technic Volvo L350F wheeled loaders in one room.

Over the course of the day, over 5,000 guests came to participate in the celebrations. Sixty-one LEGO models were assembled for the company’s first-ever record-breaking attempt. Logistics developer, Johan Hansson said, “We’re constantly seeking new ways to continue to push creative boundaries and adding a world record to the list would be the perfect touch.” The L350F was created by LEGO designers in an eight-month collaboration with Volvo CE.

The plant’s production halls were used to host games, live music, celebrations, and much more. Guests were able to take a tour through the museum, which showcased old vehicles and explained the factory’s history. One of the entertainment standouts was the “memory-lane” themed show, which demonstrated the evolution of technology from past models to today’s machinery.

Customers also had the opportunity to experience the wheel loaders impressive functions by test driving one of the remote controlled LEGO models. Johan Hansson said, “We have sold over 250 LEGO machines to employees since launching the LEGO Technic Volvo L350F wheel loader”.
