which type of service manuals do you prefer?

Which type of service and parts manual do you prefer? Mine are cat.

Of all the manuals I have worked with over the years, the GM car manuals are hands down the best. Especially the electrical section.

the cummins engine manual is good, it brakes everything down nice and simple, and the lay out is good too

Nothing beats a manufacturers manaul. depending on what your working on and how modified the unit is.

I prefer OE (original equipment/manufacturer) manuals. Nothing like getting the information straight from the manufacturer. But electronic information systems and media are becoming far more prevelant. Information is power and you can never have enough, it makes our jobs easier.

The best electrical diagrams I ever used has to be the Timberjack (now Deere) ones,you can easily follow them from page to page.Same with there hydraulic diagrams.
