Our History
2004
The company started with only two trucks and one customer. Today our family-owned company operates more than 300 trucks and 1275 trailers throughout United States and Canada. We serve customers across many industries with emphasis on the automotive sector.
2008
The opening of our Freight Management division, Midwest Freight Logistics, which successfully complements the asset side of our business.
2010
The opening of Sherwood Truck Repair Shop, which enables us to service all Midwest Freight Systems equipment to the highest of safety standards. In addition, it enables us to provide additional services to outside companies.
2014
Midwest Freight Systems moves into 180,000 square foot facility. The facility includes a 125,000 square foot warehouse, a 55,000 square foot maintenance facility and a 10,000 square foot cross dock. The facility sits on 16.5 acres of secured parking.
2015
Midwest Freight Systems starts hauling freight for Automotive Aftersales Companies.
The fleet grows to 170 tractors and 300 trailers.
2016
Midwest Freight Systems starts dedicated service to Automobile Assembly Plants.
The fleet grows to 250 tractors and 800 trailers.
2018
Midwest Freight Systems adds additional Automotive Assembly Customers and gets a major spike in expedited business.
The fleet adds additional trucks and trailers.
2019
Midwest Freight Systems celebrates its 15th anniversary of service in the Automotive Industry and continues to expand service to Automotive Aftersales Companies.
The fleet grows to 300 tractors and 1275 trailers.
2020
UNA Travel Center to open in Roseville, MI in the fall of 2020.
The facility will provide more than 100 parking spaces, maintenance facility, full-service fuel, food, and showers for drivers.
