Job Description
A reputable and well-established employer is urgently seeking a 310T or 310S Red Seal Mechanic. In this role, you will be responsible for creating work schedules, managing parts flow with internal teams, reporting to management, managing technicians, handling paperwork, coordinating off-time, and more. This is a hands-off role where you will be responsible for supporting an established team of Mechanics.
The ideal candidate has great communication skills and technical knowledge on heavy trucks. Previous leadership experience is required.
Attitude and communication skills are everything. This role will be designed to transition into the Shop Manager position ideally within 18 months.
A valid Commercial Inspection License is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing technicians to ensure safe and efficient work practices are followed.
- This is not a mechanic role but being willing and able to perform general Heavy-duty Truck & Equipment repairs/maintenance may be required in emergency circumstances or as a teaching method.
- Computer diagnostics.
- Ensuring availability of parts/tools/supplies for shop
- Maintain open communication between various levels of management.
- Quality Control and ensuring repairs are done effectively.
- Prioritizing the shop's needs.
Compensation:
- Up to $38/hr based on previous experience/certifications/training

Shift Schedule:
- Day Shift or Afternoon Shift, Monday - Friday.
- 42.5 hours per week
- No Weekends
- Flexible start/end times
