Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver course curriculum and assessments to instruct and evaluate student learning, maintaining accurate records in the designated student information system.
  • Promote teamwork, communication, and professionalism while supporting students in developing job readiness skills and finding employment.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized training area, ensuring adequate supplies and equipment are available for continuous instruction.
  • Orient new students to classroom expectations, procedures, technology, and safety protocols.
  • Advise students on course selection and graduation requirements, supporting their academic and career success.
  • Address and resolve student issues in collaboration with Student Services as needed.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other College divisions, departments, and program support personnel on projects like marketing, public relations, grant writing, and program accreditation.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required, with 2 years of relevant experience in the diesel technology field; post-secondary training and teaching credentials preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate industry concepts and skills, foster critical thinking, and use computer skills to maintain a productive learning environment.
  • Ability to deliver instruction through various methods to achieve desired educational outcomes.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to advocate for the College in partnerships.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evening or weekend hours and, if necessary, teach at off-campus worksites.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks associated with training, including lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Regular attendance is essential.

Compensation

  • $21.00 – $27.00 based on experience.
