A longstanding, full-service HVAC and heating fuel provider in Ayer, MA, is hiring a Diesel Fleet Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain a diverse fleet of heavy trucks, trailers, and equipment. Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose, and repair trucks, trailers, and other vehicles/equipment.
• Oversee daily shop operations and the condition of all related vehicles/equipment.
• Resolve mechanical problems in a timely manner to ensure equipment remains in proper working condition.
• Follow company procedures and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment in the garage facility.
• Work closely with Management to develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and maintain efficiency.

Requirements

• Required:

• • 5 years of relevant repair experience with various heavy trucks, trailers, and/or equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of compliance with metered, hazardous materials.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical issues.

• Preferred:

• • CDL-A/B and tanker endorsement.
  • Tire Industry Association (TIA) Certification for Tire & Wheel Maintenance.
  • EPA Section 609 MV Air Conditioner (MVAC) Certification.
  • ASE Certifications A1-A8.
