Duties & Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair transit vehicles including MCIs, trolleys, cutaways, and vans.

• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, overhauls, and scheduled repairs.

• Ensure vehicles are safe, mechanically sound, and road-ready.

• Respond to road calls and perform field diagnostics and repairs.

• Complete work orders efficiently while following safety policies and keeping the work area clean.

• Use diagnostic tools and software; comply with DOT regulations and internal safety protocols.

   

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 3–5 years of diesel maintenance and diagnostics experience (or equivalent education/experience).

• At least 21 years of age.

• CDL or ability to obtain a Class B CDL permit within 90 days (training support provided).

• Basic computer skills and a strong record of reliability and attendance.

• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods.

• Must pass a DOT physical, drug screen, background check, and physical strength assessment.
