Duties & Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, brakes, and electrical systems on buses, shuttles, and service vehicles.
- Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, overhauls, and scheduled repairs.
- Ensure all vehicles meet DOT safety standards and are ready for service.
- Respond to breakdowns, perform on-site diagnostics, and complete necessary repairs.
- Accurately complete work orders while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of diesel maintenance and diagnostics experience, or equivalent training.
- CDL or ability to obtain Class B CDL permit within 90 days (training provided).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years old.
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods.
- Basic computer skills with a strong record of reliability and attendance.
- Must pass DOT physical, drug screening, background check, and strength assessment.
