Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive inspections and diagnostic tests to identify worn or damaged parts.
  • Perform preventative maintenance schedules, including replacing bulbs, oil changes, tire services, controlling corrosion, and completing winterizing procedures.
  • Ensure vehicle performance through test drives and system adjustments.
  • Comply with federal and state vehicle standards by testing engines, safety, and combustion controls.
  • Maintain vehicle appearance with regular cleaning, washing, and painting.
  • Keep accurate records of equipment service and maintenance.
  • Maintain shop equipment operational status by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventative maintenance, and coordinating repairs.
  • Manage costs effectively by utilizing warranties and evaluating service and parts options.
  • Ensure supply readiness by conducting regular inventory checks and overseeing purchasing.
  • Stay updated on industry developments through ongoing education and reading technical publications.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment and adhere to safety standards.

 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Five to seven years of experience in diesel equipment repair and diagnostics, or relevant vocational training.
  • Proficiency in using tools and equipment necessary for diagnosing and repairing diesel vehicles.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and enterprise-specific software.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems independently.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of reading and understanding technical documents and manuals.
  • Physical ability to handle manual tasks, lift up to 50 pounds, and meet other physical demands of the job.
  • Class A CDL is preferred but not required.
  • Pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen are required.

Shifts

  • Evening Shift, opportunity for the right individual to have a days shift
  • Overtime available and paid after 40 hours/week.

Compensation

  • $24-$27/hr to start, based on previous experience/certifications/training + Yearly retention bonus!
  • A Full Comprehensive Benefits package is available on the 1st of the month after 30 days (Health, Vision, Dental, STD, LTD, Life.
  • 401K w/ match available first fiscal quarter following six months of employment.
