Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and diesel-powered equipment using diagnostic software, checklists, and work orders.
• Perform preventative maintenance, state inspections, and DOT/FHWA inspections to support safe, compliant operation.
• Repair diesel engines, brakes, steering, transmissions, electrical systems, and related components.
• Complete general or routine welding with or without prints as needed.
• Communicate findings and repair needs clearly while supporting positive working relationships with teammates and vendors.
• Complete documentation accurately (repair orders, PM/FHWA forms, and timecards) and follow all safety and shop procedures.

Requirements

• Required
• • High school diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years of age.
  • Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty diesel systems (engine, brake, steering, transmission, and electrical).
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools/software and follow troubleshooting checklists and work instructions.
  • Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and manufacturer specifications.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet repair deadlines in a fast-paced shop.
  • Professional communication skills and a team-first, customer-service mindset.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and ability to pass an MVR review.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Physically capable of heavy work, including lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally.
