Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and diesel-powered equipment using diagnostic software, checklists, and work orders.
- Perform preventative maintenance, state inspections, and DOT/FHWA inspections to support safe, compliant operation.
- Repair diesel engines, brakes, steering, transmissions, electrical systems, and related components.
- Complete general or routine welding with or without prints as needed.
- Communicate findings and repair needs clearly while supporting positive working relationships with teammates and vendors.
- Complete documentation accurately (repair orders, PM/FHWA forms, and timecards) and follow all safety and shop procedures.
Requirements
- Required

- High school diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years of age.
- Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty diesel systems (engine, brake, steering, transmission, and electrical).
- Ability to use diagnostic tools/software and follow troubleshooting checklists and work instructions.
- Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and manufacturer specifications.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet repair deadlines in a fast-paced shop.
- Professional communication skills and a team-first, customer-service mindset.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and ability to pass an MVR review.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of heavy work, including lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally.

- Welding experience beyond routine repairs.

Shifts

Day shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Full-time, in-shop heavy-duty technician role.

Additional hours may be required based on workload and business needs.

Compensation
-
$90,000 – $135,000 annual compensation based on experience, certifications, and skill level ($43–$65/hr equivalent).
