A full-service truck collision repair operation is hiring a Heavy-Duty Truck Collision Technician in Bristol, PA to repair and restore damaged commercial vehicles. Ideal candidates have structural repair and welding experience. Apply now to take on skilled truck collision repairs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspect collision damage, identify parts and labor needs, and plan repairs for heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
- Repair or replace damaged panels, frames, and structural components using straightening, welding, and metal fabrication as needed.
- Use frame machines and measuring systems to restore alignment and structural integrity.
- Repair related systems including air brakes, electrical, suspension, and A/C systems as required by the repair scope.
- Prep surfaces and assist with painting and refinishing; remove and reinstall components such as lights, mirrors, and trim.
- Test vehicles after repairs, complete repair orders and time records accurately, and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
Requirements
- Required

- High school diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years of age.
- Proven experience in heavy-duty truck and trailer collision repair.
- Proficiency with body tools, welding equipment, frame machines, measuring systems, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to perform structural repairs, panel replacement, and metal fabrication accurately.
- Ability to read and understand technical diagrams, repair estimates, and manufacturer specifications.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet repair deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle record check, criminal background check, and drug screening.
- Physically capable of heavy work, including lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally and working in a fast-paced shop environment.
- Preferred

- Vocational or technical training in collision repair or a related field.
- CDL preferred.
- ASE certifications are a plus.
- MIG welding experience.

Compensation

$70,000 – $120,000 annual compensation based on experience, certifications, and skill level ($33–$57/hr equivalent)
