Duties & Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components on compact equipment including skid steers, excavators, and loaders.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and safety checks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Maintain detailed service records and update work orders accurately.
• Support a team environment by communicating job status, repair timelines, and any issues to supervisors and fellow technicians.
• Assist with training or mentoring junior techs as needed.

Qualifications:

• Required:

  • 3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment or diesel mechanic.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Comfortable working in a supervised shop environment with a structured schedule.
  • Must own a basic set of personal tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Preferred:

  • Experience with compact track loaders, mini excavators, or other compact construction equipment.
  • Technical certification or vocational training in diesel or heavy equipment repair.
