Job Description
Join an established team in Naperville, Illinois, as a Bus Dismantler Technician. This role is crucial for those skilled in disassembling buses and managing parts efficiently. Technicians with a background in vehicle diagnostics and parts management are encouraged to apply!
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Dismantle a minimum of six (6) buses per week, adhering to precise work orders.
- Use diagnostic tools such as a Noregon laptop to evaluate engine and transmission issues.
- Inspect, tag, and manage the inventory of dismantled parts, ensuring quality control.
- Store and organize parts in the warehouse using a barcode reader as applicable.
- Maintain and update computer systems with information on vehicle status, location, and parts inventory.
- Remove wheels and tires from buses as needed.
- Keep the work area clean and free of debris before starting on the next vehicle.
- Provide assistance to both external and internal customers as needed.
- Operate welding equipment and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in automotive or diesel mechanics preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Vocational or Technical certification is preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools and experience in parts management and diagnostics.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Must be able to obtain a Forklift operating license.

Compensation
- $24 to $25/hr based on experience.
