A respected municipal employer is hiring a Licensed Fleet Technician in Cambridge, ON to inspect, repair, and maintain fleet vehicles and equipment. Ideal candidates hold a valid 310T or 310S and Class D/Z licence. Apply now to support essential public operations.

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on municipal fleet vehicles, equipment, and related components.
• Complete preventive maintenance inspections, servicing, and periodic mandatory commercial vehicle inspections to support regulatory compliance.
• Conduct road tests and operational tests to confirm safe operation and verify repairs are completed properly.
• Design, fabricate, and fit parts, components, and assemblies as needed.
• Work closely with other technicians, assist peers, and support the efficient completion of fleet maintenance tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and ensure shop tools and equipment are organized and ready for use.
• Assist with the safe movement of vehicles and equipment using verbal and hand signals.
• Work outdoors as needed in varying weather conditions.
• Respond to after-hours call-outs on a rotational basis.

Requirements

• Required:

• • Valid Truck and Coach Technician (310T) or Automotive Service Technician (310S) Certificate of Qualification.
  • Valid Ontario Class D driver’s licence with Z endorsement in good standing and an acceptable driver’s abstract.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and extended hours as required.
