A stable municipal fleet operation is hiring a Licensed Fleet Mechanic (310T/310S) in Cambridge, ON to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles and equipment. Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on a diverse fleet of municipal vehicles and equipment.
• Complete preventive maintenance inspections, servicing, and periodic mandatory commercial vehicle inspections to meet applicable CVOR requirements.
• Design, fabricate, and fit parts, components, and assemblies as needed to complete repairs.
• Conduct road and operational tests to confirm vehicles and equipment are safe and repairs are complete.
• Work closely with other technicians, assist with the safe movement of vehicles and equipment, and support daily maintenance priorities.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and support rotating shifts, extended hours, outdoor repairs, and rotational after-hours call-outs as required.

• • Valid Truck and Coach Technician (310T) or Automotive Service Technician (310S) Certificate of Qualification from Skilled Trades Ontario
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Ontario DZ driver’s licence in good standing with an acceptable driver’s abstract
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the role and periodically work outdoors in inclement weather
  • Able to work rotating shifts, occasional extended hours, and rotational after-hours call-outs as required
