Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel commercial and delivery trucks, trailers, and generators.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engine, electrical, and related mechanical system issues.
• Troubleshoot generator systems to ensure reliable operation and readiness.
• Build, fabricate, and modify equipment or components as needed.
• Inspect equipment, verify repairs, and perform functional testing.
• Use basic computer systems to document service and repair work.
• Safely operate standard and power tools while maintaining an organized work area.

Requirements

• Required:

  • Experience performing preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks or similar equipment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with solid problem-solving skills.
  • General knowledge of generator systems, theory, and maintenance.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to safely operate standard and power tools.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Preferred:

  • CDL or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • EGSA certification.
