Duties & Responsibilities:

• • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, and generator units
  • Perform preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, and mobile power equipment
  • Troubleshoot and service paralleling generator systems
  • Build, fabricate, or modify vehicles, trailers, and generator-related components
  • Read and interpret generator drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics
  • Fabricate custom equipment for rental inventory and warehouse use
  • Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently

Requirements:

• Required:
  • 2+ years of experience as a mechanic working on heavy trucks, generators, or similar equipment
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Working knowledge of generator systems and basic maintenance procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with common shop tooling
• Preferred:
  • Experience with paralleling generator systems
  • CDL Class A or B license
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • EGSA Certification
