Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment using diagnostic software, work orders, and checklist-based troubleshooting.
• Perform preventative maintenance, state inspections, and DOT inspections with safety as the top priority.
• Repair diesel engines, brakes, steering, transmissions, electrical systems, and related components.
• Perform routine or general welding repairs with or without prints as required.
• Complete accurate documentation, including repair orders, FHWA/PM forms, and time records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company policies and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to shop goals and continuous improvement efforts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations.

Requirements

• • High school diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years of age.
  • Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty diesel systems including engines, brakes, steering, transmissions, and electrical.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and software and follow troubleshooting checklists and work instructions.
  • Ability to read and understand technical diagrams, repair estimates, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Ability to multi-task and complete repairs accurately in a fast-paced shop environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented, customer-service mindset.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass a motor vehicle record check, criminal background check, and drug screening.
  • Physically capable of heavy work, including lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally and working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
