Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment using diagnostic software, work orders, and checklist-based troubleshooting.
- Perform preventative maintenance, state inspections, and DOT inspections with safety as the top priority.
- Repair diesel engines, brakes, steering, transmissions, electrical systems, and related components.
- Perform routine or general welding repairs with or without prints as required.
- Complete accurate documentation, including repair orders, FHWA/PM forms, and time records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company policies and safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to shop goals and continuous improvement efforts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations.
Requirements
- Required

- High school diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years of age.
- Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty diesel systems including engines, brakes, steering, transmissions, and electrical.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and software and follow troubleshooting checklists and work instructions.
- Ability to read and understand technical diagrams, repair estimates, and manufacturer specifications.
- Ability to multi-task and complete repairs accurately in a fast-paced shop environment.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented, customer-service mindset.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle record check, criminal background check, and drug screening.
- Physically capable of heavy work, including lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally and working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.

Shifts

Day shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Additional hours may be required based on operational needs.

Compensation

$25.00 – $28.00/hr to start, based on experience, skill level, and repair capability.
