• Retrofit existing transmissions with new, modified units; test and troubleshoot any arising issues.
• Perform installations and modifications to auxiliary power units, internal wire harnesses, dashboards, steering components, and hydraulics.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment and specialized tools to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ensure all modifications meet installation manuals, technical specifications, and company guidelines for accuracy and efficiency.
• Keep meticulous records of all modifications in line with customer requirements.
• Conduct road tests and post-modification inspections to ensure quality installations and identify any issues.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with the customer’s management to resolve complex installation issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and adhere to safety procedures to ensure a safe workplace.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; formal vocational training in diesel mechanics highly preferred.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Truck Heavy Mechanic, with extensive knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must possess a personal mechanics tool set.
