Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on gas and diesel vehicles, including tire replacement, lubrication, and minor electrical/cooling system repairs.
• Maintain trailers and warehouse equipment, such as walkie riders, forklifts, pallet jacks, and powered hand carts.
• Adhere to OSHA, FMCSA, and federal/state/local safety regulations while using required personal protective equipment.
• Communicate repair statuses with co-workers and supervisors.
• Transport equipment to external repair shops as needed.
• Order and manage parts inventory.
• Maintain fleet garage cleanliness and organization.
• Complete federal annual inspections, maintenance records, and repair reports.
• Work assigned schedules with reliable attendance and overtime as needed.
• Other related duties as required.

Requirements:

• Preferred: Vocational/Technical or Associate Degree in diesel mechanics.
• Experience: 1+ year working with medium to heavy-duty trucks.
• Valid driver’s license; must be insurable for vehicle operation.
• Basic understanding of diagnostic software.
• Ability to work around fumes, airborne particles, toxic materials, moving equipment, and loud noise environments.
