Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform mobile diagnostics, troubleshooting, general and DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on fleet equipment and vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, air, diesel, and related mechanical systems.
• Complete welding and fabrication work as needed to repair or upfit truck components.
• Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle while managing provided inventory and specialty tools.
• Complete service calls efficiently while following safety procedures, industry standards, and company protocols.
• Document service work, parts used, time spent, inspection results, and daily paperwork accurately.

Requirements

• Required:

• • Hands-on mobile service, diesel, heavy truck, heavy equipment, or similar repair experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, air, diesel, vehicle, or equipment systems.
  • Ability to work independently, manage service calls, communicate professionally, and complete daily paperwork.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Able to travel as needed, work across South Louisiana/Mississippi in various weather conditions, lift over 50 lbs, and perform physical repairs.
  • Able to work in confined spaces; high school diploma or equivalent required; must complete pre-employment criminal background check, drug screening, and fitness for duty physical.

• Preferred:

• • 2+ years of DOT inspection experience.
  • 2+ years of hydraulic, diesel, heavy equipment, or heavy truck mechanic experience.
  • Technical certification, CDL, ASE, NATEF, Welding Certification, Fluid Power Society Certification, or TWIC Card.
