Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform state and federal inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on heavy trucks, trailers, and commercial vehicles.
• Disassemble, rebuild, and reassemble engines, transmissions, hydraulic pumps, and related components.
• Use service manuals, diagnostic tools, and manufacturer software to support repairs and verify performance.
• Operate trucks and equipment as needed to diagnose issues and confirm repairs are complete.
• Complete basic to moderate fabrication as required in support of shop operations.
• Document repairs clearly and maintain organized service records.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient shop environment.

Requirements

• Required:

  • 3+ years of heavy truck and trailer or commercial truck repair experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to work independently with solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and repair records.
  • Provide your own basic hand tools; specialty tools are provided.
  • Willingness to participate in job-related training and development.

• Preferred:

  • Valid Class A CDL or willingness to obtain.
  • Hazmat endorsement.
  • Tanker endorsement.
  • Associate degree in Diesel Technology or a related mechanic program.
