Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and standard vehicle repairs on diesel trucks and related equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electronic issues using diagnostic tools.
• Replace defective components and conduct detailed inspections with minimal supervision.
• Mentor junior technicians and support team development.
• Interact with drivers to assess issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Maintain accurate documentation via Shop Management System and follow all DOT and safety guidelines.
• Assist with facility upkeep and other operational support as needed.

Requirements

• Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience performing mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy and medium-duty trucks.
  • Proficiency with diesel engine maintenance, basic diagnostics, AC and electrical systems.
  • Must provide own basic tools.
  • Ability to operate diagnostic software and complete internal training within set timelines.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background check, DOT physical, road test, and drug screening.
  • Willingness to obtain a CDL within 6 months of hire.

• Preferred:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in heavy-duty diesel repair.
  • Vocational or technical certification.
  • CDL Class A license.
  • ASE certifications and prior OEM diagnostic training.
  • 5+ years of diesel maintenance experience is a plus.
