Job Description

Join a mid-sized fleet maintenance operation as a Diesel Diagnostic Mechanic in Brighton MI. You'll diagnose and resolve check engine lights, after-treatment issues, and fuel/electrical system problems on a primarily conventional cab fleet of enclosed box trucks and car haulers. Work in a collaborative, close-knit team environment where seniority staff mentor newer technicians, and inter-shop support is the norm.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of diagnostic experience on major OEM engines
• Proficiency running diagnostic laptops and troubleshooting after-treatment systems
• Experience with Cummins, Volvo, or Cat preferred; Paccar MX experience is a bonus
• Valid driver's license; CDL-A or CDL-B a plus
• Own tools required
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot without constant supervision

Compensation & Benefits:

• Wage: $35 –$45/HR (negotiable for exceptional candidates with Paccar experience)

Hours:

• Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM
• Overtime paid after 40 hours; typically 0–5 hours/week
• No after-hours emergency calls; roadside support handled by separate department
• Minimal mobile work; primarily shop-based
