Job Description

A family-owned heavy equipment service shop specializing in compact construction equipment maintenance and repair is seeking a Diesel Equipment Mechanic in Chattanooga, TN. Work in a well-equipped facility with large heated bays, overhead cranes, and easy equipment access. A dedicated service coordinator stages equipment and parts daily so you can spend maximum time doing what you do best. Official manufacturer training is fully paid as part of authorized dealer programs.

Requirements

Must-Haves:

• Minimum 2 years of mechanical experience
• Valid driver's license
• Own hand tools
• Mechanical aptitude

Nice-to-Haves:

• Prior exposure to tractors, hydraulics, or heavy equipment
• A-level technician certification (B and C-level candidates with motivation to grow also welcome)

Compensation & Benefits

Wage: $25–$39/hour

Performance Bonus Program (tied to billing efficiency):

• From $1 - $6/hr

Overtime: Rare and non-mandatory; paid after 40 hours when applicable

Hours

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• Shop-based work (no field service)
• Work environment: Clean, organized facility with direct access to equipment and parts
