Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support a team of diesel technicians, providing leadership and oversight.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, electrical, and other vehicle systems.
• Schedule and manage preventative maintenance and unscheduled repairs.
• Monitor DOT and safety regulation compliance across the fleet.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure use of maintenance tracking systems.
• Oversee parts inventory and vendor purchasing.
• Communicate with drivers, dispatch, and operations staff to coordinate maintenance.
• Perform other duties as required to support fleet operations.

Qualifications:

• Required:

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a diesel fleet or truck/bus maintenance shop.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on diesel repair experience on medium or heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Familiarity with DOT compliance and safety standards.
  • Proficient with maintenance software and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong planning, decision-making, and team leadership abilities.
  • Experience with budgeting and parts procurement.

• Preferred:

  • ASE certifications in relevant areas are a plus.
