Job Description

They are currently seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This role is ideal for a technician who is comfortable with general repair work and is also capable of handling parts ordering, inventory coordination, and shop support for senior technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and standard repairs on Class 8 trucks and fleet equipment.
- Assist with diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, air, and cooling system issues.
- Safety checks, and basic component replacements.
- Support senior technicians on more complex repairs and follow direction on repair procedures.
- Responsible for ordering parts, tracking parts usage, and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
- Communicate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of components and supplies.
- Maintain organized workspaces and support overall shop efficiency.
- Document all services performed, parts used, and hours worked on repair orders.
- Collaborate with the Lead Mechanic and Fleet Manager to ensure equipment uptime and parts availability.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a diesel mechanic performing PMs, repairs, and basic diagnostics.
- Solid understanding of diesel systems, brakes, suspension, fluids, and electrical basics.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools or willingness to learn.
- Experience with or willingness to learn parts ordering and inventory processes.
- Ability to read repair manuals, schematics, and service bulletins.
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL a plus.
- Must have your own basic tools (specialty tools provided by company).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs and work in a physical shop environment.

Shift:
- Full-Time, 4:00PM - 12:00PM. Shift Differential available above hourly rates.
- Monday–Friday (with occasional overtime available)
