Diesel Mechanic I
Job Description
Join an established operation in New Hope, Minnesota, as a Diesel Mechanic I. Ideal for individuals with a strong background in Medium to Heavy Truck repair and a keen understanding of vehicle systems. Technicians with 5+ years of repair experience, diagnostics, and familiarity with diesel systems are encouraged to apply!
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair various vehicle systems including steering, electrical, cooling, braking, and drive trains, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Conduct test drives to verify the effectiveness of repairs.
- Secure necessary inspections and approvals for major repairs prior to vehicle release from the maintenance facility.
- Keep the workspace safe, clean, and in compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Identify and report any additional maintenance or repairs needed during the course of work.
- Accurately record time spent, parts used, and details of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Respond to road calls for on-site repairs as needed.
- Communicate with the Lead Technician regarding any unsafe maintenance conditions or practices.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Medium/Heavy truck fleet mechanic repair.
- Proficient in diagnostics, electrical systems, and AC repair.
- In-depth knowledge of diesel equipment and vehicle systems.
- Owns recommended hand tools for Diesel Technician role.
- Good judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Valid state license (CDL preferred); ASE Certification is a plus but not required. Free training program available.

Compensation
- $30 to $32/hr based on experience.
