Job Description
Join an established team in Naperville, Illinois, as a Bus Dismantler Technician. This vital role involves disassembling buses, managing parts inventory, and utilizing diagnostic tools to ensure efficiency and quality. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Dismantle at least six (6) buses per week, following detailed work orders.
- Use diagnostic tools such as Noregon laptops to evaluate engine and transmission performance.
- Inspect, tag, and manage dismantled parts inventory, ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Organize and store parts in the warehouse using a barcode reader as applicable.
- Maintain and update computer systems with vehicle status, part locations, and inventory data.
- Remove wheels and tires from buses as necessary.
- Ensure a clean, debris-free workspace before starting on the next vehicle.
- Assist internal and external customers as required.
- Operate welding equipment and handle other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in automotive or diesel mechanics preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old with a High school diploma or equivalent required; Vocational or Technical certification is a plus.
- Proficiency with hand tools and experience in diagnostics and parts management.
- Must have an active Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred); Ability to obtain a Forklift Operating License.
- Self-motivated, with excellent problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and DOT compliance.

Compensation
- $24 to $25/hr based on experience.
