Job Description

We are actively searching for experienced Diesel Technician Instructors for a well-established operation near Addison, IL. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team at a state-of-the-art facility that provides OEM-level training to diesel technicians of various levels.

The ideal candidate will bring years of hands-on diesel experience and be ready to transition into a more hands-off role while remaining in the industry. While prior instructor experience is preferred, it is not required. Candidates with a strong technical background and dealership experience will be prioritized.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct and deliver OEM-level training to groups of technicians (up to 15)
• Engage in public speaking and presentations, ensuring clear and effective communication of technical material
• Work closely with the training center team to continue developing and expanding the current training programs
• Travel up to 12 weeks in the first year for out-of-state training and certification
• Conduct remote work from home on non-teaching days, focusing on generating sales leads or preparing course materials
• Ensure a high standard of attention to detail and professionalism in all aspects of training delivery
• Support the growth of the training center by bringing in more training sales and assisting in ongoing development projects

Qualifications:

• Extensive hands-on experience as a Diesel Technician (dealership-level experience preferred)
• Comfortable speaking to and presenting in front of large groups
• Experience with or interest in transitioning to a training and development role
• Attention to detail, with a commitment to following established course materials and protocols
• Open to travel for training and certification during the first year
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Compensation:

• $75,000.00/year base salary with a bonus structure and additional incentives for bringing in training sales

Shift:

• Day Shift, Monday to Friday (with some work-from-home flexibility)
• Flexibility is required to help support business operations.
