Job Description

A well-established and reputable employer is urgently hiring 3rd Year, 4th Year Heavy Truck Technician apprentices and Licensed 310T Heavy Truck Technicians to join their growing team near Vars, ON. Mechanics will play a crucial role in conducting inspections, services, and repairs on a variety of Heavy-Duty Trucks and Trailers.

Responsibilities:

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to; maintenance, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of suspension, brake, and air systems on Tractors and Trailers. Mechanics will review and assist with repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports, complete documents related to the maintenance reports and documentation, and perform maintenance-related work as required while maintaining a clean, safe work area. 

Requirements:

• 3rd Year & 4th year apprentices in the Truck & Coach Technician
• Valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician Licensed Mechanics
• Experience working on Commercial Trucks 
• Self-motivated and able to work independently 
• Able to demonstrate you are organized, responsible, independent, resourceful, and dynamic 
• A valid driver's license is required 
• Knowledge of provincial Inspections
• Reefer Experience is a plus but not required
• Must possess own set of basic tools 

Shift Schedule:

Days:

• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday - Friday or 2:00PM - 10:00PM
• Mechanics will be required to rotate schedules 1 week a month, candidates on the afternoon shift will receive at $2/hour shift premium. 

Compensation:

• Licensed 310T: $45.00 for Newly Licensed and up to $48 for experienced licensed 310T mechanics 
• 3rd Year & 4th Year apprentices $38 - $43
