Job Description
Join a growing, tight-knit team in Crawfordsville, Indiana, specializing in Truck Chassis replacements on utility type trucks. As a Diesel Truck Technician you will focus your chassis expertise combined with module system integration, including PTO systems, hydraulic/pneumatic valve work, and fabrication for retrofitting projects. Work in a modern 50,000 sq ft facility with mobile crane, excellent tooling investments, and a collaborative, low-micromanagement culture that values employee input and development.
Requirements
Must-haves:
4+ years diesel chassis technician experience
Knowledge of automatic transmissions (particularly Allison)
PTO (Power Take-Off) system experience
Electrical and hydraulic systems understanding
Valid driver's license
Own hand tools
Nice-to-haves:
PACCAR engine certification
Cummins Insight certification
Allison transmission certification
Welding and fabrication experience
Heavy equipment (CAT, Case) technician background
Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Experience with diagnostic software and parameter setting
Compensation & Benefits
Wage: $34$48/hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Health Insurance: $150/month for individual coverage; family plans available
401(k): 4% company match
Tool Allowance: $500/year
Apparel/Safety Allowance: $450/year
Paid Time Off: 7 days after 90 days; 10 days after first year; 15 days after 3 years (flexible negotiation available)
Overtime: Time-and-a-half after 40 hours/week
Bonus & Profit Sharing: Currently in development
Hours
Shift: 7:30 a.m.3:30 p.m. (flexible)
Overtime: Available and encouraged; typically 2025% weekly (810 hours), with unlimited opportunity based on workload
Work Environment: Shop-based only; no on-call requirements
Environment: Climate-controlled, well-lit, organized facility with ongoing improvements
