Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Fly-In Fly-Out
Job Description
Join our team as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for an exciting Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) opportunity! Operate across multiple states and commodities, working on a diverse range of fleets, including surface and underground equipment. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment.
- Complete major component replacements and repairs on surface and underground mining equipment.
- Service a wide range of equipment brands, including CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr, Epiroc, and Sandvik.
- Ensure all repairs are completed to the highest safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members in dynamic environments across multiple locations.
- Work independently or in a team, often in remote locations.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience with heavy mining equipment such as CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr, Epiroc, or Sandvik.
- OR 2 years of construction equipment experience combined with 1 year of mining equipment experience.
- OR 4+ years of construction equipment experience with larger machinery, such as:
- CAT 773, 775 trucks; 40t articulated dump trucks.
- CAT 390, 396 excavators; CAT 960, 980 loaders.
- CAT 120, 140 graders.
- Must be a USA resident able to travel and willing to fly to job locations.
- Ability to work unsupervised and within a team environment.

Shifts
- Flexible and family-friendly rotations – 2 weeks on, 1 week off or 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off
- Anywhere from 30-84 hours of overtime per rotation
Compensation
- $38 – $50+ per hour plus $40/day per diem
- Daily meal allowance with company provided lodging and accommodation
