
Field Service Mechanic
Job Description
A well-established and reputable equipment dealer in Enfield, CT, is hiring a Field Service Mechanic to perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on customer sites. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, inspections, safety checks, upgrades, and refurbishments on lifting and load-handling equipment.
- Follow service bulletins and technical courses to stay current on product developments.
- Operate service vehicle safely and maintain vehicle condition with support from fleet services.
- Accurately document service work, submit reports, and maintain records to support invoicing and compliance.
- Respond to customer needs professionally and according to service manager instructions.
- Identify and report potential sales opportunities to the district service manager.
- Mentor junior technicians and provide feedback to improve service quality and efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols and environmental requirements on job sites.
Requirements:

Required:
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical service roles.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a 1-year DOT Medical Card.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to varied site conditions.
- Proficient in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostics and repairs.
- Professional written and oral English communication skills.
- Own tools and basic computer literacy.
- High school diploma or GED.

- Technical or vocational training in mechanical engineering, hydraulics, or electronics.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic drive systems, and load-handling equipment.

- Monday to Friday, Day Shift.

Compensation
- $37.00 – $39.00 per hour (based on skills and experience) + annual merit increases.
