Job Description

An established company is looking for a capable Fleet Mechanic - Commercial Landscaping neededwith an Industry leading company near Oak Park, MI.

Successful candidates will be conducting work in shop or on our customer's sites, safely and effectively diagnosing and repairing a broad range of our Commercial Landscaping Equipment and fleet vehicles/trailers in a timely manner while maintaining extremely high standards and ensuring high environmental & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance, replacements and repairs on variety of our Commercial landscape Equipment, including but not limited to: Loaders, skid steers, zero turn mowers, pickup trucks, trailers
• Chassis, Electrical, Hydraulics, Fuel Systems, Aftertreatment, Diagnostic Software, Driveline and Engine.
• Conduct pre-job hazard assessments and take all reasonable steps and precautions to maintain a safe working environment in both the shop and on customer sites
• Perform basic troubleshooting for all equipment and provide detailed service reports and make recommendations or perform repairs and upgrades
• Submit accurate service reports, timecards, and other required paperwork in a timely manner

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years experience working on various types of equipment
• DOT Inspection experience
• Proficiency with Computers and Diagnostic Software, Fuel Systems, Hydraulics, Hydrostatics and Electrical
• Organized with excellent management, interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-motivated and adaptable team player with solid business acumen and high integrity
• Valid Driver's License and ability to pass a background check
• Possess adequate collection of hand tools

Compensation

• $30 - $40/HR

Shifts

Day Shift, 7:00AM - 5:30PM, (Monday - Thursday)

Nov - March On Call is required. All call outs are paid at OT Rate
