Trailer Mechanic
Job Description
A reputable truck and trailer repair facility in Fort Myers, FL, is hiring a Trailer Mechanic to perform structural, mechanical, and electrical trailer repairs. Ideal candidates have strong fabrication and repair experience. Relocation assistance available – apply now!
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair trailer lighting systems and minor water leaks.
- Perform side and radius panel removal and replacement; buck rivet repairs.
- Conduct basic wood floor repairs and aluminum/translucent roofing repairs.
- Replace or repair rear swing and roll-up doors.
- Service liftgates including cylinder, block, pin, and roller replacements; troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and charging systems.
Qualifications:

Required:
- 2+ years of experience as a trailer mechanic or technician.
- Ability to perform panel repairs, door replacements, and structural modifications.
- Proficient in troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Own set of tools.

Preferred:
- Welding experience.

Shifts
- Day Shift, Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 1-hour paid lunch break
- No Saturdays, weekends off
Compensation
- $25.00 – $32.00 per hour based on previous experience
