Duties & Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engines, transmissions, electrical, fuel, and emissions systems using manufacturer software (Cummins, Caterpillar, Detroit, International, Isuzu, Hino, etc.).
- Perform pinpoint testing of various mechanical and electrical issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Complete major and minor repairs efficiently, ensuring quality workmanship.
- Oversee and assist junior mechanics by delegating tasks and providing hands-on training.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, and ensure vehicles meet safety standards.
- Utilize manufacturer and third-party diagnostic tools to scan and analyze vehicle performance.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation of repairs performed.
- Ensure compliance with industry safety regulations and company procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding repair progress and findings.
- Keep work areas clean and organized while following proper tool and equipment protocols.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, specializing in medium and heavy-duty truck repair.
- Proficiency in manufacturer diagnostic software (Cummins Insite, Caterpillar ET, Detroit DDDL, International Navistar, Isuzu IDSS, Hino DX, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of electrical, fuel, and emissions systems troubleshooting and repair.
- Experience with pinpoint testing for mechanical and electrical failures.
- Ability to efficiently diagnose, repair, and delegate tasks to junior mechanics.
- Must own a full set of tools applicable to diesel truck repair.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.
- ASE certifications are a plus.

Shifts
- Monday through Friday: 8 AM – 5 PM.
- Saturdays optional.
Compensation
- $25.00 – $45.00/hr (based on experience and certifications).
