Job Description

We are actively searching for an experienced General Manager to lead a Heavy Truck Dealership with multiple locations throughout Chicagoland. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team with established staff and state-of-the-art facilities.  Preferred candidates will have strong dealership-level experience and a mix of a deep technical as well as or administrative background.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall personnel management and direction of the staff with the assistance of support staff.
  • Support and carry out all tasks to ensure the overall goals of the company as well as oversee general administration and compliance with corporate policies
  • Monitor dealership performance against all manufacturer requirements, report deficiencies as well as develop and maintain standards to maximize fixed operations efficiency.
  • Support and inspire the sales team to reach new heights for both new and used truck departments.
  • Manage and provide directions to Parts & Service Managers including product support staff members.
  • Be the leader on a great team who intends to continuously exceed customer wants and expectations.
  • Review and approve assigned staff payroll.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to the COO, the CFO, as well as other department heads such as VP of Sales in order to forecast and profits, efficiency, performance and other key metrics.
  • Consistently manage vendor relationships and coordinate as well as ensure cooperation between Parts & Inventory Control Managers. Ensure that proper inventory controls are in place and adhered to.
  • Responsible for the overall personnel management and direction of staff support and carry out all tasks to ensure the overall goals of the company are met.


Qualifications:
  • Comfortable  leading, motivating and Training sales teams as well as presenting to large groups
  • Attention to detail, strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Experience in all aspects of Heavy Truck Retailing as well as in dealership sales, parts or service

Compensation:
  • Up to $125,000.00/year base salary + bonus structure & additional incentives for bringing in training sales

Shift:
  • Day Shift, Monday to Friday (with some work-from-home and flexibility required to support business operations)
