Job Description

A successful repair and maintenance facility has an immediate opening for an experienced Generator Mechanic near Birch Run, MI to work on it's fleet of diesel power generation systems.

The company is looking for an experienced and preferably certified mechanic with at least 4+ years of relevant working experience on diesel, electrical, and engine systems to perform a variety of diagnostics, repairs and maintenance.

Qualifications: 

•  
• 4+ years of experience performing repairs on relevant diesel systems 
• Knowledge and experience using diagnostic software to assist with troubleshooting and repairs
• Strong verbal and documentation skills 
• Can work well with others

Responsibilities: 

• Perform fleet repairs including but not limited to:
  • Preventative maintenance (oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication) 
  • Diagnostics 
  • Valve lashing/timing
  • A/C and D/C power
  • Electrical repairs
  • Diesel engine repairs 
  • Pneumatic repairs 
  •  

Compensation: 

• $55,000 - $75,000/year + for the right fit. Starting wage based off of prior relevant work experience

• Monday - Friday Day Shift: Schedule determined upon hire (Flexible schedule available) 
• On Call Requirement Every Other Weekend
