Generator Mechanic – Field Service – Ladson, SC
$35.00 - $42.00/hr + Up To $5000 Sign-On Bonus | Take-Home Service Truck | Comprehensive Benefits | Paid Training
A well-established company with business across the United States is seeking Generator Mechanics to join their field service team in Atlanta, GA. As a Generator Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing PMs, inspections, diagnostics, rebuilds, and repairs on engine and electrical systems. MUST HAVE GENERATOR EXPERIENCE!
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform PMs, inspections, diagnostics, and rebuilds on generators
- Work on engine and electrical systems
- Rebuild or repair engine components
- Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engine systems
- Work with switch gear systems (preferred)
- Follow schematics for repairs and maintenance
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and meets safety standards
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience working with generators or a combination of education and experience
- Engine rebuild/overhaul experience required
- Ability to read and understand schematics (preferred)
- Strong background in diesel engines and diagnostics
- Switch gear experience strongly preferred
- Positive work attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Personal set of tools
Compensation & Benefits:
- $35.00 - $42.00/hour to start (dependent on experience)

Shift Schedule:
- Day Shift, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Monday - Friday
- Paid on-call rotational schedule

- Must pass a background check, drug test, physical, DOT history check, and essential functions/lift test prior to employment
