310T Fleet Mechanic
Job Description
A well-established construction and infrastructure contractor in the Haley Station, ON area (near Renfrew) is hiring a 310T Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of heavy trucks and equipment. Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair fleet vehicles and equipment using proper tools, test equipment, and service manuals.
- Perform preventative maintenance, performance testing, and component repair or replacement to ensure fleet readiness.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical/electronic, and hydraulic systems and identify root causes of failures.
- Order required parts and coordinate timely procurement to minimize equipment downtime.
- Maintain accurate daily maintenance records, reports, and repair cost estimates.
- Ensure all vehicles and equipment pass inspections and comply with applicable provincial regulations.
- Work safely in shop and outdoor environments while completing physically demanding tasks as required.
Requirements

Required:
- Valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician certification.
- 3+ years of experience maintaining and repairing fleet trucks and/or heavy equipment.
- Driver’s license in good standing.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical service manuals and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors and perform heavy lifting as required.

Preferred:
- 5+ years of relevant repair experience
- Experience with road maintenance and snow removal equipment, including sanders/sander controllers, loaders, graders, and backhoes.

Day shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Compensation

$35.00 – $45.00/hour to start, based on previous experience, certifications, and training.
