Job Description

A heavy civil construction group in Ancaster, Hamilton, ON, is hiring a 310T Licensed Truck & Coach Technician to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on fleet trucks and heavy equipment. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and diagnose vehicles, equipment, and components for defects, damage, or wear.
  • Perform mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and preventative maintenance repairs.
  • Order and track required parts and ensure timely procurement.
  • Maintain accurate records, including daily maintenance logs and repair cost estimates.
  • Test vehicles post-repair to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
  • Ensure all vehicles meet provincial inspection standards and safety regulations.
  • Work in both shop and outdoor environments, including exposure to weather.

 

Requirements:

  • Required:
    • Valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician certification.
    • Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
    • 3+ years of experience servicing trucks and/or heavy equipment.
    • Strong knowledge of diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems with solid diagnostic ability.
    • Proficiency using diagnostic tools, repair manuals, and preventative maintenance procedures.
    • Physically capable of lifting heavy components and performing hands-on repairs.

Preferred:

    • Experience with snow and ice control equipment such as salters, spreaders, loaders, graders, and backhoes.
    • Familiarity with electronic control and advanced hydraulic systems.

  • Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

  • Overtime available!

Compensation

  • $38.00 – $45.00/hour starting pay based on experience, certifications, and training.
