Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines and related systems on Class 5–8 trucks.
- Perform engine repairs, overhauls, and preventative maintenance to OEM specifications.
- Inspect and repair brake systems, steering components, wheel bearings, and other safety-critical systems.
- Diagnose and repair HVAC (A/C and heating), charging, and starting systems.
- Use OEM diagnostic software, scan tools, handheld computers, gauges, and precision instruments to identify faults and verify repairs.
- Road test vehicles to diagnose concerns and confirm repairs meet safety and performance standards.
- Inspect dimensions and clearances to ensure conformance with factory specifications.
- Tag parts, document repairs, and follow all OEM warranty and repair procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and protect customer vehicles during and after repairs.
Requirements

Required:
- 2–5 years of experience performing medium/heavy-duty truck repairs (Class 5–8).
- Strong diagnostic skills across diesel engines, electrical systems, HVAC, and chassis components.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced shop environment.
- Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, and electronic diagnostic tools.

Preferred:
- Cummins and/or Detroit OEM certifications, or willingness to obtain through paid training.
- Class B CDL.
- ASE certifications.

Compensation

$25.00 – $50.00/hr pay range based on experience, certifications, and training.
